Match Structure: Best of three games.
Game Point: First to 15 points.
Scoring: A point is scored on every serve.
Winning a Game: The first team to reach 15 points with at least a 2-point lead wins the game. If the score reaches 15-15, the game continues until one team has a 2-point lead (e.g., 17-15).
Winning a Match: The first team to win two games.
The Details:
- Teams must have 2 players or disqualified
- Determine who serves first - how?
- You can only hit underhand within the 5 Foot area from the net (Kitchen)
- A point is scored on every serve and awarded to whichever side wins the rally. The winning side gets the next serve.
- Scoring
- The birdie lands on the floor on the opponent's side
- The opponent's shot lands outside of the boundaries
- The birdie is struck multiple times by the opponent
- If the birdie hits the net but goes over within the boundaries it is a valid shot and you win the point
- Serving
- The birdie must be hit below waist height
- Players serve diagonally into their opponent’s service box Both players must remain stationary until the serve is made
- The server starts from the right service court
- Each player will retain serve for as long as they keep winning points
- If the receiving side takes the point, they assume serve
- 3 winning teams compete in Round Robin for Gold, Silver & Bronze
